FAQ

What is the normal BMI range?
Typically 18.5–24.9 is normal, below 18.5 underweight, 25–29.9 overweight, and 30+ obese.
Does BMI reflect true health?
BMI only estimates from height and weight and cannot distinguish muscle from fat; very muscular athletes may show a high BMI with low body fat.
Is it suitable for children or pregnant women?
No. Children need age-specific BMI percentiles and pregnancy has separate standards; this tool is for general adults only.
